The Jesters, who are just 2 years removed from their 1st League Championship, are the surprising team here. They started the season off in a hole. Through the first six weeks, they had a 1-5 record and looked dead in the water. However, they turned it around and went on a tear, notably led by Jonathan Taylor who has been the #1 RB in the league. The Jesters went on to finish the regular season with a 7-6 record and locked up the #4 seed. Next, they found a way to knock off the #1 seeded Darque Warriors by a score of 216-201. Joe Burrows and George Kittle led the way in this big upset.
As for the Midway Monsters, they’ve had quite the opposite season. The Monsters started the season HOT. Through 8 weeks, they plowed through the league with a 7-1 record. Then, things went for a turn. They went 1-4 to finish out the regular season, but still locked up the #2 seed with a 8-5 record to make the playoffs. Though ending the regular season in a rut, they stepped it up and knocked off the Irish Pride in the 1st round of the playoffs with a score of 211-179.
All eyes will be on their MVPS. Jonathan Taylor for the Jesters and Josh Allen for the Midway Monsters. Who will take the title?
