Week 4 had a few wild games going back and forth with one game decided late on Monday Night. Sucks to lose those games that late in the week!

The Commish goes 4-1 yet again in PickEm. Those damn Midway Monsters keep losing. We need to get off that train and pick the other guy. I guess we’ll see what happens here.

We’re down to 1 undefeated team (Irish Pride) and one winless team (Midway Monsters). How long can these streaks go??

Game of the week

#3 GB Gamblers (3-1) VS #5 Top Dawgs (2-2)

Week 5 – Gotw intro

The Gamblers are fresh off their big win against the previously undefeated Darque Warriors, while the Top Dawgs are on a 2-game win streak. These two are hot and are looking to continue moving up the rankings. However, the hot streak ends for one of them this week!

Both teams are looking to put on a show by featuring their dual threat QBs. It’s Kylar Murray VS Jayden Daniels and it won’t disappoint. The Gamblers are also doubling down on that Cardinal offense by starting the RB, James Conner. If Arizona puts up the points, the Gamblers are guaranteed light up the scoreboard. If they get shut down, Gamblers will be in trouble.

The Gamblers also have the #1 scoring WR in the league. Having drafted CeeDee Lamb in the 1st round, you would think it would be him. But, no, it’s Nico Collins. Collins it outscoring all WR’s so far and Lamb is currently at #10. The Top Dawgs will be hoping to strike back with their own stud WRs in Ja’Marr Chase (#9) and Malik Nabers (#4).

ESPN is giving a slight edge to the Top Dawgs (good job, ESPN).

PREDICTION: Dawgs flexes will be….flexing! Look for Jordan Mason’s best game of the year and Xavier Worthy to flourish in an expanded role.

JOE BUCK YOURSELF (2-2) VS DARQUE WARRIORS (3-1)

This is the 3rd meeting between these two teams. Joe Buck Yourself took down the Darque Warriors twice last season, with their 2nd win being by nearly 50 points. So, needless to say, the Darque Warriors have been looking forward to this rematch.

The Warriors come in this time as the #2 seed with their only loss being last week versus the GB Gamblers. Joe Buck Yourself has gone WIN LOSS LOSS WIN and is in 7th place. So, he’ll be trying his hardest to get back above 0.500 this week.

JBY has an interested team. The starters are all 24 and under, except old ass Derrick Henry. Apparently JBY found it in their heart to overlook Henry’s age, since he’s such a damn beast. Looking back, this guy should be gone #1 in the draft!

He’s gotten better every week. Can this trend continue???

On the other side, the Darque Warriors are filled with the old feeble remains of fantasy players past. They’re hobbling, but they’re still moving. Good enough for the 3-1 record that they’re sporting. …All eyes on this matchup will be on the Texans/Bills game. Both team’s starting QBs are facing off here. Each possession will be loaded with possibilities. JBY will be going for the doublers with Stroud to Tank Dell touchdowns, while the Warriors will be rooting for the Texans to run the ball for their RB, Joe Mixon to score.

ESPN likes the Warriors big in this one, with nearly an 8 point advantage.

PREDICTION: Tough to pick against King Henry right now. JBY with the upset!

IRISH PRIDE (4-0) VS MIDWAY MONSTERS (0-4)

The Undefeated VS The Winless. Sometimes the storyline writes itself. These two teams could not be on any different of paths. The Irish Pride are #1 in the league and are undefeated. The Midway Monsters are passed out along the curb and have yet to win a game. And now they meet. Oh, man!

The Irish Pride appear to be taunting the Monsters. They have benched the #1 QB in the league (Baker Mayfield). Oh wait, they also have the #2 QB in the league and he is starting (Lamar Jackson). Jackson has been solid and consistent. Add Kyren Williams and James Cook into the mix and the Irish are at 60+ points with just those 3 players.

This is an uphill battle for the Monsters. Forget the fact that they’ve underperformed, they now have 4 players on Bye this week. So, they’ll absolutely need Mahomes to return to fantasy glory to fight back in this matchup. Tyreek Hill will need to take direct snaps since they don’t have a QB in Miami, and Josh Jacobs and Garrett Wilson will have to DO SOMETHING.

ESPN marks the Pride as 16 point favorites. WOW!

PREDICTION: The stars align. The Monsters wake up. Then they fall back asleep. Irish stroll to 5-0. Next week, Monsters, Next week.

swashbuckling scallywags (1-3) VS tacoman9000 (2-2)

This is the 1st meeting between these two teams and the Scallywags wish it were on better terms. They’re in 9th place and feeling the wrath of the mounting injuries. Their #1 draft pick, Christian McCaffrey is nowhere in sight and their top QB is on bye. As for Tacoman9000, he is sitting at 2-2 and in 4th place. After suffering a defeat to the Dawgs last week, they are hoping to take advantage of the slipping Scallywags.

Tacoman9000 is marked as having an advantage on nearly the whole starting roster. It’s going to take quite a performance from the Scallywags to overcome this rough spot.

The Scallywags just need to scrape a win here and there in hopes of not being eliminated by the time they reach full strength. Until a team hits 7 losses, anything is possible.

It’s a crazy year when the guy with the advantage is the same guy who is starting Sam Darnold!

PREDICTION: Taco for the win.

THE PIMPS (2-2) VS JESTERS (1-3)

The Jesters got off the schneid last week and earned their first win. Could this be the start of something good?

The Pimps continued their Win, Loss, Win, Loss trend with a loss last week to the Irish Pride. So, that would make this a winning week, right? After all, they’re facing the 1-win Jesters. Well, the Jesters actually own this long-time rivalry with a record of 15-9. So, The Pimps are going to have to go all out to turn that trend and Jonathan Taylor’s availability could be key here.

If Jesters and Pimps played each other every week so far, they’d be tied, 2-2. Are these teams that different??

Both have been on a scoring rollercoaster, but Pimps have actually scored 10 points per game more than the Jesters.

ESPN gives a big advantage to The Pimps here, completely disrespecting the Jesters. I mean, come on, did they see that the Jesters actually tried last week? They might actually do the same this week too!!

PREDICTION: We picked the Jesters last week and we’ll do it again. Like sticking with black on roulette, we going on. Jesters for the win.
