by Week 1 came and went. Some of us received some gratification from last weeks draft. Some are regretting nearly every pick! Well, no need to overreact, the Scallywags are on top…..and that surely can’t last, can it?? Let’s take a look at the box scores.
As stated, the Scallywags are on top of the league. The Irish Pride, our champ, put up a nice score and got the win as well. However, there was only 1 time last year that the Irish didn’t score over 100 points and they’ve already done it in Week 1 this year. Are the champs vulnerable?? The Pimps, Jesters, and Dawgs all got their wins and start the season on a positive note.
Joe Buck Yourself is in the spot that got screwed. He put up 93.12 points in the loss, which would have beat 6 other teams. Those hurt. Then, there’s the Midway Monsters. Are they on their way to repeat last season? They started 0-5 in 2024, which proved to be too big of a hole to get out of. They’re gonna have to find that magic that they found late in the year and turn it around a bit quicker this time.
TacoMan lost to the Scallywags, which was their FIRST EVER LOSS to McE. But then again, this was only their 2nd matchup ever. Darque Warriors is the last loser of the week. They had a 2-game win streak going against the Irish Pride. They lost that, and now they are in an 0-1 hole to start the year.
But, as we said, don’t overreact. Because we had a wholllllle lot to go. Stay tuned.
