🥃 NO VACANCY: The Executive Club Goes 11-for-11 While Buffalo Boots Two More Survivors

After the chaos of Week 3, the Crunchtime Survivor Pool apparently decided everyone needed a slightly quieter Sunday.

Well…everyone except Best guess, Howiemom78 and Skol79.

Week 4 belonged to the Executive Club, where all 11 remaining perfect entries survived another week. Nobody lost their membership card. Nobody got bounced by security. Nobody even spilled a drink.

Meanwhile, three members of the one-strike crowd weren’t so fortunate. When the weekend ended, 31 of the original 54 entries remained alive, while the Crunchtime graveyard grew to 23.

And two of this week’s victims learned an important Survivor lesson:

Never assume Buffalo is going to make things easy.

🥃 THE EXECUTIVE CLUB — A Perfect 11-for-11

The biggest story of Week 4 wasn’t who left the Executive Club.

It was that nobody did.

All 11 perfect entries won again, moving to 4-for-4 and keeping both lives intact. The Yahoo results show the group dividing its Week 4 business among Minnesota, Baltimore, Indianapolis and Chicago.

Minnesota and Baltimore were exactly what you’d expect from people trying to protect a perfect Survivor entry. Both entered the week as roughly double-digit favorites and were widely viewed as the two safest Survivor choices on the board.

Of course, “safe” doesn’t necessarily mean relaxing.

Minnesota only beat Miami 15-10, while Baltimore escaped Tennessee 24-18.

So the Executive Club cocktails may have been served with a few antacids.

🎲 Keith and Teemo Get a Little Spicy

Give Keith’s picks some credit for going off-menu.

Instead of joining the Minnesota/Baltimore herd, Keith rolled with Indianapolis, which was only around a 4½-point favorite and was playing Washington in London. Survivor analysts even identified the Colts as a more contrarian Week 4 option. Indy rewarded the faith with a comfortable 30-13 win.

Then there was Teemo, standing alone among the Executive Club with Chicago.

The Bears were only about 3-point favorites against the Jets—considerably gutsier than taking Minnesota or Baltimore—and delivered a 23-12 victory.

Everybody gets the same green box.

But Keith and Teemo definitely ordered theirs from the spicy menu.

🩹 THE ONE-STRIKE LOUNGE — Still Crowded, Slightly More Leg room

Nobody new joined the One-Strike Lounge this week.

Instead, three people left it through the emergency exit.

That leaves these 20 survivors carrying exactly one strike:

The Week 4 sheet shows just how much the wounded crowd loved Baltimore. And this is where Survivor gets funny: the Ravens were one of the safest choices available, but Tennessee kept hanging around before Baltimore finally closed out the 24-18 win.

For a group with no lives left to spare, that’s probably close enough.

🏆 Gutsy Pick of the Week: “Going all the way this year”

One pick deserves its own spotlight.

“Going all the way this year” took NEW ENGLAND.

Not Minnesota.

Not Baltimore.

Not even Indianapolis.

New England. At Buffalo.

The Bills were about 6½-point favorites, and at least one Survivor preview specifically labeled Buffalo a potential trap—but picking the other side of the trap when you’re already sitting on one strike takes some nerve.

New England won 29-26.

That is not merely surviving Week 4.

That’s walking through the One-Strike Lounge, climbing onto the bar, pointing at everybody who took Baltimore and yelling:

“YOU PEOPLE HAVE NO IMAGINATION.”

☠️ WEEK 4 ELIMINATIONS — Buffalo Claims Two

Three more entries reached the end of the road this week.

And unlike last week’s mass casualty event, Week 4’s damage was very concentrated.

The updated Yahoo sheet places all three immediately below the active-player cutoff. Best guess went down with Detroit, while Howiemom78 and Skol79 both put their remaining lives in Buffalo’s hands.

Buffalo was favored by nearly a touchdown.

New England didn’t care.

The Patriots’ 29-26 upset turned both Bills selections into second strikes, making Buffalo the Crunchtime Grim Reaper of Week 4.

Best guess went a different direction with Detroit at Carolina. That was actually one of the gutsier picks on the board: Detroit was only about a 2½-point favorite, compared with the double-digit cushions enjoyed by Minnesota and Baltimore.

Carolina won 32-26.

Sometimes being different makes you a genius.

Sometimes it gives you more time to set your fantasy lineup on Sundays.

🪦 THE CRUNCHTIME GRAVEYARD — NOW 23 STRONG

Best guess, Howiemom78 and Skol79 join the 20 entries that had already been eliminated:
