The Swashbuckling Scallywags, formerly known as the IcEbAy bAsHeRs, are one of Crunchtime’s Charter teams.   They are also owners to the most League Championships (4).

When these Scallywags win Titles, they win them in pairs.  Their first set came in 2002 and 2003 where they were powered by the likes of Aaron Brooks, Amani Toomer, Deuce McAllister, and Clinton Portis.   Their second set of Championships came in 2007 and 2008.  The Scallywags drafted Adrian Peterson (Rookie Year) in the 4th round and were able to use him in both of these championship runs.

Did you know that both of these back-to-back Championship runs were nearly 3-peats?  Yes, the 3rd year in both of these runs, the Scallywags appeared in another Championship Game.  However,  both The Pimps and Midway Monsters were able to prevent the almighty 3 in a row.

At the time of that 4th Championship in 2008, the nearest to them in the trophy count were The Pimps (with 2).  Now, we have the Top Dawgs and Sons Of Anarchy at their heels with 3 each.  A few others have 2.  However, no team has yet to completely catch up.

As for the last decade, the Scallywags have been in a bit of a funk.  They are currently in a lengthy playoff drought, which perhaps was the reasoning for a rebrand recently.  Perhaps that’s what was needed to help this once dominant franchise return to their former glory.
