by We’ve got 7 weeks in the books and 6 to go. Everyone is feeling the pressure to pile on the wins to secure their playoff spots.
The postseason usually requires 7-8 wins to qualify. This season is certainly looking like an 8-win minimum to reach the top 4. So, key in on that number if you want a chance. With that said, if enough teams beat each other up, there could be one 7 win team that sneaks in.
Now let’s take a quick, early look at where we’re at and what is needed to get in.
Joe Buck Yourself is in the driver’s seat. He’s leading the way with that 7-0 record and has a whopping 99% chance at making the playoffs. If things were to go south and JBY missed the playoffs, it would clearly be the biggest disaster we’ve ever seen. Consider him already locked in.
On a side note, the Scallywags are next up in trying to take down the undefeated JBY. Is this the week????
The Midway Monsters are somehow in 2nd place and have 5 wins, despite their paltry 20-43 All-Play Record. Regardless, they have an inside track at making the post season. Even if they go 3-3 the rest of the season, they have a great shot at locking in. Their playoff hopes are at 60% currently.
The Dawgs, Sons Of Anarchy, and Swashbuckling Scallywags all sit at 4-3 and are a coin flip at making the playoffs. They have just a slight edge over the next 3 in the standings. Every week is huge! A 4-2 finish may be all that is needed to advance.
The GB Gamblers are in a class by themselves. Though they are tied with The Pimps and Irish Pride at 3-4, they’ve gotten hosed this season. Their All-Play Record is an impressive 45-18, which is the same as the undefeated Joe Buck Yourself. However, they just have 3 wins to show for it. That is criminal. The schedule has absolutely held this Gambler team down. Take a look at their All-Play results week by week.

So Weeks 1 and 4 deserved losses. However, all of those other weeks surely could have been wins. …especially Week 7, where they went 8-1 against the league and yet still took the loss.
If the Gamblers keep scoring the way they have been, things should even out and playoff hopes are much higher than ESPN’s 27% Chance prediction.
The Pimps and Irish Pride, who are sitting at 3-4 will need to go 4-2, 5-1, or 6-0 the rest of the season to move up the ranks and lock in a top 4 spot. It’s an uphill battle, but a very possible outcome if they make the right decisions. Don’t F it up guys.
The Darque Warriors have officially came out of hibernation. They were winless through the first 5 weeks, but have rattled off 2 straight wins to reach a 2-5 record. To reach the magic 7,8 win mark, they will need to go 5-1 or 6-0 the rest of the year. They are give a 9% chance by ESPN to make the playoffs. If they in fact do make the postseason, this could be the most epic comeback ever.
The Jesters are our last placed team at 0-7. They are helpless, hopeless, and out of contention. This point of the season, they will be looking to ruin YOUR chances in reaching that title game. Beware!
