🚨 SEA You at the Door: Seattle Helps Turn Week 3 Into Another Survivor Shakeup

The Crunchtime Survivor Pool is only three weeks old, and already the Executive Club has become a pretty exclusive place.

Week 3 delivered another reminder that there really isn’t such a thing as a β€œsafe” Survivor pick. Seattle was an 8.5-point road favorite and the second-most-popular selection in the massive Circa Survivor contest. Washington beat them anyway, 33–31. Green Bay was another popular choice that went down, while Kansas City rewarded everyone who simply took the chalk and didn’t try to reinvent Survivor strategy.

For Crunchtime, that left us with 11 perfect entries, 23 survivors carrying one strike, and 20 names in the graveyard. Survival Football_THRU3 _ Yahoo…

πŸ₯ƒ THE EXECUTIVE CLUB β€” 11 Still Perfect

The jackets are pressed. The drinks are complimentary. And, most importantly, nobody in this room has a strike yet.

McE, Miami and Scott H continue to share the same itinerary: JAX β†’ SF β†’ KC. It hasn’t been exotic, but nobody gives style points in Survivor.

Jen Z continues to take the road less traveled with CHI β†’ SEA β†’ SF, while Keith’s picks went DET β†’ PHI β†’ BAL. Baltimore was a little more adventurous than the popular Week 3 choices: the Ravens needed a last-second field goal to escape Dallas 34–31.

Meanwhile, Kansas City was the overwhelmingly popular Survivor play nationally, drawing 43% of selections on one large pool site and more than 4,300 entries in Circa. The Chiefs handled Miami 24–10. Sometimes boring is beautiful.

🩹 THE ONE-STRIKE LOUNGE β€” 23 Still Alive

The Executive Club isn’t the only place serving drinks.

The One-Strike Lounge is considerably more crowded.

These 23 entries are all still alive, but the safety net is officially gone. The ones marked πŸ†• FIRST STRIKE arrived here courtesy of Week 3; everyone else was already carrying a strike when the week began.

😬 Welcome to the Lounge, Newcomers

The six newest members probably weren’t planning on stopping by.

Figures… and The Monster were victims of the week’s biggest Survivor bomb. Seattle wasn’t some wild dart throw β€” the Seahawks were 8.5-point favorites and one of the most popular Survivor choices in the country. More than 1,100 Circa entries went down with them.

Spiderman’s Green Bay pick was also completely reasonable. The Packers were six-point favorites in one pregame market snapshot, yet Atlanta walked into Green Bay and won 35–14. That’s not losing a Survivor pick. That’s having it thrown through a window.

Skol79’s New Orleans pick was a little more adventurous. Only about 1% of selections on one national Survivor site were on the Saints. Las Vegas rewarded that creativity by beating New Orleans 35–27.

And then there is Going all the way this year, whose Week 3 opponent was apparently…the submit button.

The submit button remains undefeated.

☠️ WEEK 3 ELIMINATIONS β€” Ten More Get the Boot

A first strike gets you sympathy.

A second gets you a cardboard box for your belongings.

These 10 entries were eliminated THIS WEEK, and Seattle and Green Bay were responsible for a good chunk of the eviction notices.

Seattle personally escorted Chuck’s Picks, JoanneM and Nate dawg out the door.

Green Bay took care of Dapack10, Lake girl and LinHoff.

Carolina got Kona Ice and willyp.

And the dreaded No Pick eliminated two more.

That’s a rough week when forgetting to pick ties Carolina for third place in eliminations.

πŸͺ¦ ALREADY IN THE GRAVEYARD

And lest we forget the fallen, these 10 entries had already been eliminated before Week 3 began:

Add those 10 to this week’s 10 departures and the Crunchtime graveyard now contains 20 of the original 54 entries.

That leaves 34 Survivors heading forward.

11 are still sipping cocktails in the Executive Club.

23 are packed shoulder-to-shoulder in the One-Strike Lounge.

And 20 are outside looking through the window wondering why they ever trusted Tampa Bay, the Chargers, Seattle, Green Bay…or their own ability to remember the pick deadline.

Three weeks down.

The Executive Club is getting smaller.

And somewhere, the No Pick button is quietly preparing for Week 4.
