by Ok, so last week our crystal ball must have been a bit blurry. We went 1-4 in our Week 2 Pregame Picks and that’s just not acceptable. So, this week we’re going back to the basics, putting our fandom away, and just making smart decisions here. So, behold….here are our Week 3 Previews and ROCK SOLID LOCKS. It’s a guaranteed 5-0 week.
Game of the week
GB GAMBLERS (2-0) VS TACOMAN9000 (1-1)
There’s no doubt about this being GAME OF THE WEEK. The Gamblers are 2-0 and have the most points scored in the league. They face the new guy, Tacoman9000, who is fresh off a HUGE win over the Jesters (165-112). Both teams are hot, so the matchup should be a fun one.
ESPN give the edge to the Gamblers with their QB, RB, WR1, and WR2. That’s wild, considering Tacoman has Justin Jefferson on his team. However, they give Tacoman the edge in the rest of their lineup. And thats where McBride and Kamara come in. If McBride can get the TDs in Arizona, he will completely cancel Kyler Murray for the Gamblers. And if Kamara has half the game he had last week, Tacoman9000 will be on his way to win #2.
PREDICTION: TACOMAN9000 does indeed pull off the win. Aaron Rodgers has a monstrous game that the Gamblers just can’t seem to overcome.
Swashbuckling scallywags (1-1) VS IRISH PRIDE (2-0)
The Irish Pride have the trophy, they have the better record this season, and they are leading in this career matchup (18-14). As for the Scallywags, they have 3 things to boast too. They have Tua on IR, they have CMC on IR, and they have Nick Chubb OUT on the mend for a while. Those 3 things are not as promising as the Irish’s.
Though the Scallywags are certainly hurting, they did get a win last week. They also have the edge in a few of the matchups this week. QB1, WR1, TE, K, and DEF are all advantages according to ESPN. Could they pull off this upset against the Champs?? It’s possible, but certainly a tough task. The Irish Pride’s RB stable put up points last week, especially James Cook. Also, Lamar Jackson is about to start playing at a higher level. Watch out!
PREDICTION: Irish Pride will move to 3-0 and the Scallywags will hopefully not lose another player.
DARQUE WARRIORS (2-0) VS MIDWAY MONSTERS (0-2)
The Darque Warriors may be 2-0, but the Midway Monsters have owned this matchup with a record of 19-8 over the Warriors. The Monsters have even won the last 2 matchups. So, throw the records out the window, because the Monsters are in the Warriors head!
ESPN agrees! They are giving the edge to the 0-2 Monsters. Wow, the disrespect that the Darque Warriors hot start is getting is crazy. The QB matchup is where the fun will be at. Mahomes VS Allen. If one of them falters, it could mean disaster for this matchup.
PREDICTION: Midway Monsters get their first win here. The fact that their team is 0-2 with that lineup is criminal. Too many studs.
JOE BUCK YOURSELF (1-1) VS THE PIMPS (1-1)
Both teams are sitting at 1-1 and hope to push above 0.500 this week. A loss would be an unfortunate setback. The Pimps won their matchup versus Joe Buck Yourself last season. So let’s see if JBY can return the favor.
ESPN marks this as the tightest matchup of the week. They are projected just a half of a point apart. Joe Buck Yourself is looking for Stroud to lead the way and The Pimps are rolling out Caleb Williams again. Good luck with that. ..In fact, The Pimps are doubling down on that Bears offense…..as they have DJ Moore in at WR, hoping for the multiplier on TDs.
Breece Hall and Derrick Henry will lead the way for JBY and The Pimps count on Jonathan Taylor and Saquon Barkley. Should be good!
PREDICTION: Joe Buck Yourself for the win. If Derrick Henry can be 75% of what Alvin Kamara did to the Cowboys, JBY will be sitting pretty.
TOP DAWGS (0-2) VS JESTERS (0-2)
Oh, so sad. These two teams have seen better days. Fortunately, for one of these teams, they will get their first win THIS WEEK.
As crazy as it sounds, these two teams have the highest projected matchup of the week! ESPN project the Dawgs to take out the Jesters. However, the Jesters have homerun hitters in De’Von Achane and Amon-Ra St. Brown. So crazy things can happen.
The Dawgs will continue to ride the Jordan Mason train, while waiting for Bijan Robinson to have his first big game of the year. Maybe Ja’Marr Chase will finally show up as well.
PREDICTION: Dawgs Dawgs Dawgs. America loves them and you do too. You can only hold them down for so long. Now is the time!
